Stupid Boi! is a collaborative synth-pop project from Kit Carruthers. It is an attempt to make popular music artful. Be prepared for your pretty little pop music to have very breif and occasional moments of screaming and screeching. The instruments used are a synthesizer, a piano and a violin. No I'm kidding this is very palatable you can do it.
"Stupid Boi! 1!!," "Stupid Boi! 2!!" and "Stupid Boi! 3!!" are an introduction to the aesthetic of the project but it is not fully formed. They are amateur and done without access to real actual people with real actual classical instruments.
It isn't vaporwave yet, I couldn't find any sounds I was satisfied with. I think I'll be looking through video game and anime soundtracks for them so I can be like my vaporwave heroes 2814 and pretend to be Japanese. Jen and I are video game nerds and Chris and I are video game and anime nerds and I plan to force Akira and Ghost in the Shell on Jen and she will like them because her man told her to. I swear I will only sample musical sounds when it's vaporwave otherwise I write everything I do myself. Oh wait except one sound in The Dry Path, Fractal Patterns and Pretty Colours, the scary string thing wasn't me but I did very deliberately place it at a certain note.
